I’m Mayu. The owner of Hidamari.

今週より、今までの夜囲碁レポートをバージョンアップし、
ウィークリーレポートとして更新していくことにしました。


というのも、当店にいらっしゃる外国人観光客の方に、
「あなたがPandoraですか？ブログ読んできました」という方が多かったためです。
一時お休みしてしまってすみません。

I decided to write a weekly report instead of Night Go report.
I quit to write blog once, but some foreigners from other countries said they read my blog and came to Hidamari.

さて、先週は梅雨入りしましたね。
天気が悪いとやはり年配の方には応えるようですが、
一週間とおして、たくさんの方にご来店いただきました。

By the way, rainy season has come in Japan.
It is difficult to come to Hidamari for elder people,
but we had lots of customers last week.

先週は島根にて 世界アマチュア囲碁選手権戦が開催されていました。
それに出場した選手が夜囲碁に参加してくれました。

There was a World Amateur Championship in Shimane.
Some players joined to Night Go event after that.


今まで約40カ国近くのお客さまが2年間で来店されましたが、
ブルネイやブラジルからは初めてでした。

We had foreign customers in nearly 40 countries there 2 years.
But it was our first time to see customers from Brazil and Brunei.

週末はカフェ利用のお客さまが多く、
「囲碁カフェ」という入りにくい業態でも、
地域の皆さまに読書したり仕事をしたり勉強したりという空間の提供ができることは喜ばしく思っています。勇気をもってご来店してくれるお客さまに感謝です。

We had lots of customers who had just coffee and some food on week end.

Go cafe isn’t easy to come for people who don’t play Go.
But they use HIdamari to read a book, to work, and to study.
I’ m happy to provide such a useful place for local people.

日曜日は囲碁が打てる外国人のお客さまがいらっしゃいました。
ユタ州、アイオワ州、、オーストラリアのメルボルンと偶然に旅行者がひだまりに集結し、
それぞれの土地の囲碁シーンについて話していました。
偶然にも英語が堪能なお客さまがいらっしゃり、助けていただきました。
Tさんありがとうございました。

On Sunday, there were some customers who could play Go.
They were from Uta, Iowa, and Melbourne.
They talked about local Go scene of their places.

その日学んだ英語 “bucket list”とは死ぬまでにしておきたいリストとのこと。
SO, I learned a English word ” bucket list” on Sunday.
I had never known that word before.

ユタ州から来た明るいEricは、「日本で囲碁を打つことはbucket listの一つだったんだよ。それがひだまりで叶ったよ」と言ってくれました。

それをインスタに載せると、「私もそうだよ！」という反応もありました。

Eric from Uta said ” this is my bucket list. Playing Go in Japan. My dream came true at Hidamari”.

I posted this story on Instagram and follower said his dream is the same as Eric.


囲碁は、ずっと昔に普及させたいと思った方がいて、
その想いに共感したひとがいたから、時代を超えてこうして世界に広まっていったのでしょう。

Go was spread to the world because there was a person who acted in hope of spreading it . And some people agree his hope and spread it too.

しかし、ひだまりは囲碁普及のために作ったわけではありません。
未だに、普及させたいからお店をやっているわけではありません。

I did’t create my own shop for the spread of Go.

私がお店をやっている理由は、ひだまりを通じて人を元気にしたいからです。
挑戦する人がいたり、疲れたら癒されたり、誰かと出会ったり。
そのツールとして私の家業：囲碁があったら嬉しい。

I opened a store because I want to cheer up people through my cafe.
And I’m glad if there were Go which is my family business as a chance to communicate with people.


囲碁はコミュニケーションツールとして素晴らしいものです。
年齢性別国籍職業関係なく、フラットな状態で楽しむことができます。

Go is amazing tool of communication.
We enjoy expect age, gender , nationality and occupation.

囲碁をやったことがないかた、興味があるかたは是非ひだまりにお越しください。なかなか勇気がないかたは、ぜひカフェ利用でもお立ち寄りくださいませ。

We’re welcome beginners of Go too.
Don’t hesitate about your experience.
If you’re worry about your career, you can just enjoy cafe.
